Thor is a route that was started off first, so I may be slightly off just by a little. I may play it again to freshen my memory up. Thor is a quiet god who seems to look over Balder and Loki. He is the one that tries to keep Loki in line, and makes sure he doesn’t get into a lot of trouble. There may have been a hint that Broccoli was going to create Infinite with Thor as a main character, because in the Loki route in the first game, Thor makes hints that he likes Yui too. But in that instance, Loki had a hard time getting over the fact that Yui was human and was avoiding her. But it could have also been Thor was trying to get Loki to talk to Yui again.

Thor… he’s the beefiest God compared to the others. When I say beefy, he’s got a huge chest full of muscles. Which is understandable, because he’s Thor. He has green hair with a lightning bolt on the side of his head. Yui finds Thor in the hallway of the building and she gives him the name Thor Meginjord. Yui begins focusing on helping Thor graduate school, as he seems to be either struggling with it, or he just doesn’t care.

So Yui spends a lot of time with the Norse god. Since she does so, she gets to talk with Loki and Balder as well. Thor seems to be stand-offish at first and gradually warms up to Yui. It’s actually a very good route, you get to see such a quiet god turn into such a sweetheart. Thor is even quiet in the anime, and you only hear him talk a bunch when the episode focuses on Balder and Loki. Noriaki Sugiyama does an incredible job voicing Thor, and it’s nice to hear more than one sentence from him. Yui is the one to make the first move on Thor, and he is pretty much brushing her off. But his intentions of doing so isn’t supposed to be mean, although people may think that.

Thor is struggling with the fact that Yui is a human. This is pretty much how Dionysus felt as well, although he was constantly flirty with her. Yui doesn’t know what to do at this point because Thor seems to be in limbo with graduating and his feelings for Yui. So…Yui turns to Loki for help. And this is when the funny part comes in. Thor is absolutely terrified of snakes, or anything that is shaped like snakes.  Knowing Loki, he sets up a box full of fake snakes and hands it over to Yui to give to Thor. Thor screams as his eyes widen and he runs right to Yui.

After this incident, Thor basically caves, and accepts the fact he does truly like Yui. He decides to try his hardest to graduate alongside the other gods, and spends a great deal of time with Yui. He decides to take Yui on a “date” and they go down to the beach. For some reason, a few of them like to take Yui to the beach. The CG is great in this part of the game because you get to see how tall Thor actually is. Of course Yui looks terrified to be at such a height, but they do have a good time with one another. This truly shows how much Thor cares about her.

Just like the other routes, it concludes with Yui having the option to return to Thor’s home world along with Balder and Loki or she can go back home, and forget the gods. In that instance, Thor comes to her. If you decide to have Yui go back with Thor, it gets lovey dovey, and Yui is beautiful. Her hair is let down pretty much and she’s dressed in a long white gown. You get to see the interior of Thor’s home and smooches. Thor and Yui, despite the rough patches at the school, have a happy ending.
