Broccoli/Brain’s Base decided to make another otome game version of Kamigami no Asobi. The problem with that, is that it focuses on Dionysus, Thor, Melissa and Akira, and kind of craps on the other Gods. It takes a really long time to complete the four main gods, and then with the others, they have rushed story lines. Because the first game is no longer available, this isn’t good for those who love the anime, and want to try out the game. But I do have to say, the stories are somewhat decent…they just should have been longer. The best part of all– Hades gets a happy ending in this game! Yaaayyy!!!

If you choose to explore the schoolyard, Yui will end up running into Thor first, and gives him the name Thor Meginjord. After small talk, Yui goes out to the schoolyard. In comes Dionysus. She stumbles upon him sleeping and ends up waking him up. Dionysus is a laid back God, who tends to drink a lot of wine (obviously) and can be a little lazy.  He’s flirty from the first time he meets Yui, and then after meeting the others, the game starts to focus on Dionysus, or Dee Dee as Apollon calls him. Dionysus somehow doesn’t want to come to class, so Apollon and Yui decide to look for him. As Yui looks in the woods for him, Dionysus grabs her, and they hide under a tree surrounded by bushes.

Bear in mind, the game is all in Japanese, so if you don’t know any words in Japanese, it’s fairly easy on following along. Since I studied one semester, I have been able to follow along…somewhat. The other Greeks play a significant role in Dionysus’ route. The CG’s are really, really pretty. Broccoli did a superb job on the backgrounds. Dionysus and Yui meet on the roof of the school, which apparently a lot of them do in their routes. Dionysus then gives Yui wine and she gets so drunk, she passes out. Being a god, Dionysus would, obviously, have very potent wine. Being a sweetheart, he carries Yui back to her dorm and he stays with her. So Yui wakes up the next morning, hearing heavy breathing next to her. She of e finds Dionysus sleeping next to her, which catches her by surprise.

The good stuff starts coming around after that! Yui starts spending more time with the Greeks and Dionysus. Broccoli has some beautiful visuals of day turning into night, which happens a lot in this route. Yui goes back to the Greeks dorm when Dionysus isn’t with Hades, Apollon, and Yui. She is greeted by Dionysus, who is wearing the lowest V-neck shirt you could ever imagine. They end up talking quite a while and somehow it comes to the point of Dionysus taking off his shirt, revealing an almost 8-pack chest, and crawling on top of Yui. Nojima Hirofumi does an incredible job as the voice of Dionysus. He really can get that seductive side of Dionysus down.

When Yui gets up and pushes him away, Dionysus tells her nothing happened when he slept with her. After this night, Yui develops feelings for Dionysus. Dionysus acts normal around her, even after revealing that godly chest of his. Once he finds out Yui likes him, it gets kind of sad. This is getting to the end of the Love Route 1 for Dionysus. Dionysus basically blows her off at first, despite ALL the flirting he did around her. He tells her he’s a god, and it would never work because she’s just a human. Poor Yui, completely brokenhearted, takes off to the roof of the school. Dionysus ends up chasing after her and holds her. And he smothers her with kisses pretty much!

The end of the route basically finishes off with Yui helping the Gods graduate from the school, and Thoth approaches Yui and tells her she has two options. One option is to go with Dionysus back to Greece, and the other is go back home (in which if she chooses this for any of the gods, they come back to her). In Love Route 1, Yui goes back to Greece with Dionysus. Thus a very, very happy ending.
