Dealersroom1

There’s one place in particular that people go to at conventions. Whether it is Doctor Who related, Comic-cons, or anime conventions in general, people have a tendency to flock to the dealer’s rooms. There were a lot of booths this year, but to me it seemed like there were less sellers in the dealers room than last year. I don’t know if it’s because of the move that less people wanted to come, or if it was just the size difference between Baltimore and Washington, DC.

crunchyrollStill, there were plenty of things to look at. Crunchyroll, the most popular anime-streaming site was there and gave away free bags to those who were premium members. I decided to go with a Boruto bag with the options they had. It really was awesome to get something like that. It made it really handy to carry things around in one big bag instead of having to carry little bags in each hand. Of course this was the first time I approached Crunchyroll’s booth as last year they were insanely packed.

There was always something to look at, even if it wasn’t merchandise. How can there be a dealer’s room without IMG_0162merchandise? Well they had really, really bad-ass cars in the room too. If you are into anime-detailed cars, Otakon usually has at least one or two. This year they had three that were extremely detailed with anime such as Dragon Ball Z, and Evangelion.

Sometimes, as someone that wants to buy merchandise, and on a strict budget, it can be a huge pain in the ass to make decisions on what to buy. Seriously. It made me go insane…not literally, but well you know…it’s very agitating. Go for things that you like, but you don’t normally see in stores. I caved by getting Noragami and No Game No Life DVDs. But I found an item I haven’t seen anywhere…not even Hot Topic, which really…their anime stock is really laughable when you look at it.
