I’ll flat out say it. I like Sword Art Online. A lot of people don’t, and that’s okay. We all have that certain anime that really annoys the hell out us. But I loved the Mother’s Rosario arc, and I grew very fond of Konno Yuuki; despite what happens to her. I’m soooo sorry too, for not keeping up with the Food Wars! reviews. I’m back at school, so it will be a little slower to put up. I haven’t forgotten it.
So the first anime merchandise review is none other than Sword Art Online’s one and only Konno Yuuki.
I bought a figure of Yuuki on Amazon by Banpresto, and it was decently priced. I prepared myself in case it was a horribly made item. To my surprise…it wasn’t. For something that costs a
little over 30.00, it was amazing. The details of her face and hair was nicely made. She stays put on her stand, unlike a certain figure I will review next. She is 5.9″ in height and her smile shows off the bubbly personality she had.
Yuuki also comes with her sword and sheath. Now one thing I will say is the sheath is a tad bit loose…just a little. It’s not a big problem; not even enough to deter buyers away from it. Just a little touch of glue and it’ll stick. That is the ONLY thing slightly negative about the figure. But like I said, it’s perfect for the price you pay for the figure.
The sword is nicely detailed, and it holds up really well in her hand and the base. Her
pose with the sword in hand is so similar to what people see in the anime. You can buy anime figures of Yuuki for up to $230.39, which to me as a buyer, is ridiculous. BUT if you are a figure collector, then that may not be a problem. Sometimes the lower priced versions, I feel, show more likeness to the character than the more expensive ones. So if you are a Sword Art Online fan, and collect anime figures, this version is a definite must have.
