After being extremely pleased with the Konno Yuuki figure I had received, I had decided to purchase another figure in the Sword Art Online series.  Sinon is another favorite of mine, because she isn’t needy, clingy or has those personalities that can annoy people. I like Asuna…but sometimes the way she acts really grinds my gears. Just a little detail about the character Sinon for those who aren’t *that* familiar with SAO. She becomes a supporting character, but she isn’t in the first season at all. Sinon comes into the beginning of the second season, when Kirito’s character/avatar in game is a female version. She began playing SAO: Gun Gale to help get rid of her fear of guns. Sinon was never a gamer like Kirito, Asuna, etc were. Now let’s get down to the review!

IMG-0178This figure of Sinon is produced by a company called Furyu and shipped directly from Japan. I am really happy how Sinon looks. Her hair is accurate, and of course a pretty pale blue color. Unlike the horrible Mikasa figure, Sinon stands perfectly on the base. It takes just a little push to make sure she is firmly in place, and she stays perfectly. Another great thing is that her gun accessory STAYS in her hand…and FITS I might add. Yes, I am still really sore about the Shingeki No Kyojin figure, but I’ll get over it at some point.

Sinon has the same kind of detail in the face as the Konno Yuuki figure, but instead of a bubbly, cheerful face, she is more serious, just like she is in SAO. The figure captures her personality pretty well. Her pose is really nice and kind of sets off a vibe around her.

Her outfit is pretty accurate. Sometimes figures are just slightly off with details, but this is pretty much spot on. The green is perfect, and her shorts are as short as they are in the IMG-0181anime. I never understood why a handful of female characters have scarves around the neck. Yoko Littner, Mikasa and Sinon are just a few I know of. Not a bad thing, but it’s definitely a detail I have noticed. The scarf is nicely done; it has the look as though it’s moving/ blowing in the wind as Sinon is walking. Even though the base is smaller than the one Yuuki has, Sinon is a bit taller than Yuuki, who is a 5.9″inch figure. Sinon is a 6.5″ inch figure, so she is actually a decent size. And for the odd price of $27.72 on Amazon, it’s a deal you can’t pass up if you are a Sword Art Online fan. I still can’t believe how accurate the facial features and expressions are. The people that have made this have obviously put in hard work into making Sinon look as accurate as possible.

If you are a collector of figures, and like Sword Art Online, this  might be up your alley. We all know a lot of anime figures are priced ridiculously high at times, so if you don’t have the money for a very, very detailed/movable figure at the moment, I would definitely suggest this one. I usually browse Amazon to find inexpensive figures that have gotten a four-five star rating and surprisingly, there are a lot out there! But this is definitely a must have for SAO fans! It definitely receives a five-star rating from me. My next figure I will be receiving is Kamina from Gurren Lagann. Because he’s my hottie, I decided to splurge and get an expensive figure. It’s just being released now in Japan, so it may be a few weeks until the review comes up. Stay tuned!!
