I just received my Joseph Joestar figure and it is beautiful. I have never seen a figure look so good before. This seriously puts my old Doctor Who figures to shame! LOL. Seriously, MediCos did an amazing job on the detailing and likeness of Joseph Joestar. Joseph in the anime is the second of the Joestar family, and his phrase mainly is “Oh No!”  That is definitely a word that is not used for the figure. That’s for sure.

With the figure, it is extremely poseable and the arms and legs definitely have the muscle definition as Joseph has in the anime. You can take off his scarf, swap hands and there is another head too, and it’s very expressive. The joints are so bendable, you can pose JoJo anyway you want. Action poses, standing poses. You name it, you got it. Even the toes bend! The stand holds him up really well, and you can swing him around. Just make sure he’s secured, which isn’t that hard. It was for me, only because I’m a wimp and don’t want to break him. But he’s pretty sturdy too. What surprised me was how inexpensive JoJo was, considering he’s fully poseable and a lot of detailed, poseable figures can cost more than $100.

JoJo was ordered through Amazon, and it came fairly quickly, despite the fact it said the arrival would be. In fact, i had ordered a Jotaro figure before Joseph, and currently am still waiting for Jotaro. I don’t usually believe the estimated dates of items, because a lot of times they arrive early.

Anyway, I absolutely love this figure. He comes with a crossbow, a bow, and a few other items to make him stand out even more.I mentioned the incredible amount of detail of Joseph…well, even the clothes are extremely detailed. You can see the wrinkles in his pants, it’s amazing. The muscles…oh my goodness. Even in the anime, the muscles that the Joestars have are impressive.  This is another purchase I am completely happy with. This is definitely worth the money.

Having researched Joestar figures on Amazon, there were many with four to five stars. This particular JoJo has gotten a lot of four and half stars on Amazon, and since the price was extremely reasonable, I decided to get him.  The good thing is if you just want JoJo to stand, he can stand pretty well without being held up. But the stand is probably the best thing to use. He is fairly tall, so if you are looking for a spot to put him on, I would suggest the top of a bookshelf or if you have an all-anime case that has different size shelves, definitely put him on the biggest one. The stand lifts him up so it makes him look a lot taller than he really is. The wait for Joseph to arrive at my door was definitely worth it.

It was a bit difficult to see  how detailed Joseph was on Amazon, but the pictures kind of gives you an idea. It’s always the notion of thinking: Does it actually look like the picture? Is it slightly off? How big is he?  The answers are: Yes, it actually does look like the picture. It is not at all off. It’s just about as perfect as it can get; right down to the thick eyebrows. The spiky hair is quite firm; in the sense that the hair will stay together and not fall apart. This figure will make an excellently addition to anyone’s anime figure collection.

Rating for Joseph Joestar:
