I have one major issue with this new Sasuke figure. I believe the price was ridiculously high for the same type of figures I have been getting (Banpresto). The My Hero Academia figures, and my recent Sasuke was less then 25.00 dollars.
Ever since I started watching Boruto, I really liked the adult
Sasuke; he still comes across sulky. There is something about Sasuke that I find interesting.
The adult Sasuke stands just slightly over 6 inches like the others. But the cost was 32.99. I’m sorry charging more than 20.00 for a smaller figure is frankly absurd.
Also when I looked around Amazon for Sasuke figures, I saw this one pictured, and when I saw the price, I assumed it would be bigger. But I was wrong and it’s the same size as my other Sasuke. I
do have to say, I am fond of the figure though, despite feeling a bit ripped off.
About the figure itself: Sasuke doesn’t seem as fierce as the other figure. His facial expression is more relaxed, and his pose seems to show that same relaxation.
There are no flaws in this figure, which is nice to see. His cloak is nicely painted; those aren’t scratch marks, but how the cloak should look like. The paint job itself for the whole figure is even, and not spots of paint anywhere.
This Sasuke was mainly put together, unlike the others. The only thing you have to do with the figure is to attach his head to the body. Because he has a “standing still” pose, he’s easier to place on the
stand. Some figures come in a weird pose that makes it somewhat difficult to get them connected to the slots in the stand.
The stand is like a pyramid, which makes it easier to find room for a figure like this if there is limited space. Also you can can put other figures from Naruto/Boruto side by side with Sasuke because of how the stands are shaped.
Like the other figures, there is good detailing on the clothing and
also with his hair. The likeness of his hair on the figure and in the show is pretty accurate. It’s just that you can see his spikes better on the figure than the show itself. The layered look is nice, and gives the hair some depth.
Overall it’s a really nice figure, but I would advise NOT to get it on Amazon. Most sellers are selling figures decently, but check the sizes of the figures in the description and compare that to other sellers. Otherwise you might have the same thing happen to you, as it did to me.
Once Otakon comes around next month, I will be scoping out more figures, anime books and series, so be on the look out for more reviews!
