I just received my copy of My Little Monster box set, and although it’s not as fancy as the Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma’s box set, it is still a pretty little set. My Little Monster
doesn’t have many episodes, so there were no expectations that the series set would be that big. The series itself, is hilarious and kind of emotional, but I think it’s pretty much balanced. Another anime to review. But before I do that, or even No Game, No Life, I will definitely have to finish off Food Wars!.
The set comes with two DVD cases, and contains both Blu-ray and standard DVDs. Why is there two cases? I am guessing because there was no room to fit all of that and bonuses all on one disc. That would make sense. So not only do you have those, but you
also get a small book, that…just like Food Wars! and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, contains a small synopsis of each episode, and images for that particular episode.
Not only does the book consist of those, but it also is a small character art book, featuring all the major characters and the side characters that are actually featured a lot as well. Also small descriptions of the characters as well.
For those who haven’t watched this anime, a brief summary. It’s mainly about two characters: Shizuki Mizutani and Haru Yushida. Told in the eyes of Shizuki, who is a class nerd and wants to study all the time. She takes things way too seriously. After Haru is
suspended from school, and he apparently doesn’t come back after the suspension was lifted, Shizuki is given the task to bring him back to school. I won’t say any more’. But I will say things will never be the same for Shizuki after Haru comes back.
It’s a really nice set to add to an anime collection, especially if you are interested in the rom-com genres. It won’t take up a lot of space, and to be honest, it seriously is worth the price. Even if you aren’t into extra features or little books, it’s still nice to have.
