It opens with a scene with Futo in a commercial for a travel service. After seeing episodes already on how he really treats people…especially Ema, I just don’t like him
much..at all. He still comes across highly egotistical and a major creep. But now that I am playing the otome game…he really isn’t as bad as he is in the anime.
Wataru wants to keep watching it, and Yusuke gets irritated and asks why do they have to see Futo’s face over and over again. Ema is told by Ukyo that the travel agency has never used a pop star for their commercials before, and now a resort near the commercial shoot location had been swamped with visitors.
Yusuke is highly annoyed by this and calls him a stinking brat, which he is instantly reprimanded by Masoami. After a few minutes of discussion on going somewhere together, Masoami suggests they all travel overseas together, which shocks Ukyo, Ema,and Yusuke, while Wataru becomes excited at the idea. But the strange thing is…by the end of the episode, there are no more conversations about their summer vacation plans.
Yusuke and Ema walk with one another to school and he brings up the talk about going on a trip. Ema says she has, but she and Yusuke both have entrance exams to study for. Ema realizes she doesn’t even have a passport but Yusuke says his brother is good at handling those things. As Ema walks past him, Yusuke stares at her and the camera moves down to her butt basically. Yusuke thinks of the idea of being at a resort with her and turns around making a coughing sound. At this point Futo shouts out to Yusuke, which causes Ema to look over as well. Futo states it’s not suitable to think pervy thoughts in the morning, and clearly pisses Yusuke off, who tells him to knock it off.
Ema and Yusuke are in class when the class representative is in front of the class, talking about the last Culture Festival. They need ideas for it and Yusuke actually comes up with the idea of a café. But a female student says it shouldn’t be just a normal café… but a butler one. After voting on four concepts, the butler café wins by 25 votes.
Back at their home, Ema and Yusuke tell their brothers about the butler café. Kaname,
flirty as ever, asks Ema what she was going to do, and she tells him it would be kitchen duties. Kaname tells her if she’s making the tea he may come over. Yusuke gives him a quick retort by saying if it’s tea, he’s drinking it now.
After class the next day, Ema comes home and sees Azusa and he’s going to pick up the script for the anime project he had been working for. He clutches his head and winces in pain, and shakes it off when Ema asks him if he’s okay. After leaving, Ema heads to the couch and tells Juli how tired she is and how it is busy with entrance exams and the Culture festival. She passes out on the couch, and Juli can’t wake her up. He decides to look over her but suddenly he is snatched up and thrown into a sack.
When Ema wakes up, she sees Yusuke looking right at her. He falls backward and tries to play it off. He tells her he didn’t want to catch a cold so he put a blanket on her. When Ema asks, Yusuke said he had been there a minute, maybe two. But Futo comes around the corner and says Yusuke was lying and had been watching her for at least ten minutes. He says it could be more her fault than his for sleeping in a common room and she could be doing it on purpose.
Yusuke threatens that he’ll never forgive Futo if he doesn’t take back what he says and they get into a little fight, and Tsubaki comes up to tell them to knock off the noise. He
does however seem to side with Yusuke because he tells him not to pay any attention to everything Futo says. He doesn’t understand how Futo got where he is, and Futo basically insults him by being a “flighty voice actor.” And it turns out the one that threw Juli in a sack…was Futo, and not Yusuke.
Ema is eating breakfast the next day when Azusa comes down the stairs. He is clearly not well, but trying his best not to show it. She tells him it’s the day of the Culture Fest and Yusuke had already gone to school. Azusa says it’s rare for him to get up so early. Ema offers to make him breakfast but he says he has a recording to go to and then starts to
collapse. Ema tries to help but ends up falling on him. Hikaru comes down the stairs looking completely different. Ema is so used to seeing him dressed as a woman, that she doesn’t recognize him.
Azusa still wants to try to go to work, but it’s Hikaru’s insistence that Azusa finally gives in. I really love Azusa for some reason. He’s my second favorite with Yusuke being number one. Azusa, despite liking Ema as well… his personality is really, really sweet and natural. I just feel so bad for him at this point.
After the incident, Ema goes to school for the festival, and she is given an outfit to put on. When she questions it, she finds out just then that the butler café, had now become the maid and butler café.
Ema sees Yusuke dressed up incredibly nice, and that’s when we see how long his hair actually is when it’s not in braids. Ema gets uncomfortable with her friends pushing the
costume towards her. Yusuke finds her extremely cute when he sees her in her outfit, and then she goes to hand out flyers. Futo finds her and invites her to come see the horror concept his class has. Futo is dressed like a vampire, even the teeth and yanks her into a dark room and gets really really creepy with her. He tells her he takes what he wants, and pulls her closer to him. She has a flashback of all of her stepbrothers and she tells him to stop and knocks him back. Ema tells him all she wants is a family, and this only makes Futo react badly. He wants to continue to lust after her.
Futo had left fang marks on her neck and Ema acts strangely when she returns to the classroom. Yusuke notices and asks if everything was okay. It’s not until she gets home
that Tsubaki instantly sees the bite marks. He asks her bluntly who put the “hickey” on her neck. He starts getting upset and tries to kiss her when Azusa comes to her rescue again. This time Tsubaki gets really mouthy with Azusa and asks why he butts in. Azusa tells him that he has to butt in because Tsubaki gets very forceful with Ema. It ends with Azusa having sharp pains in his head again, and starts to reach for his brother as he collapses.
This episode actually had moments of humor, stress the characters are dealing with, and major creep levels. I really don’t want to include Tsubaki in the creep category, because in all honesty, he is extremely funny, and even if he is trying hard for Ema, I don’t think he realizes how forceful he can be; and Azusa has to point that out to him.
Stay tuned for the review of episode eight!
