Throughout the series, everyone has come to know that there is some serious issue with Haru’s past with his family, but especially with Yuzan. It’s this particular episode, that we get an understanding as to why.
So the episode starts with Haru and the rooster, and watches Shizu start to walk by. He greets her and tells her that he is happy it is the second term, basically so he can see her
again. He got there at 6 am and tells Shizu that the thought of seeing her again gets him out of bed. Haru also mentions that she hadn’t answered her phone at all during summer break. In which now the students around them can hear their conversation and begin to wonder if Haru is hitting on Shizu.
Haru asks where Shizu wants to go on their date and she tells him the library. Haru can’t believe that Shizu still wants to study during their date. Shizu watches Haru and wonders to herself how close she can get to Haru, but also how close is too close. So at this point, it’s obvious that Shizu still likes him, and she is determined to build something
up with Haru.
As Shizu and Haru walk from the school building, Haru’s brother is waiting for Shizu, and once Haru sees Yuzan, he takes off, leaving Shizu by herself.
Yuzan didn’t like everyone staring at him. Shizu asks why he’s there today, and if he’s looking for Haru, he left. Shizu tries to say goodbye, but Yuzan tells her that he came to see her. Meanwhile, Haru is in the bushes, and tells himself he should have grabbed
Shizu and left in another direction. He leaps up and scares a girl that he had defended in the previous episode. He asks for her to do a favor for him.
Which pretty much is to see if his brother is still at his school, she says no. Haru discovers she is the class representative. Haru tells her she seems like a nice person. Something happens where Haru is looking at his phone, and suddenly he gets angry and tells her he has to go.
So we see that Yuzan was able to drag Shizu away from everything else and walks around with her. All Yuzan seems to talk about to Shizu is sweets. Shizu asks if he
wanted to talk about Haru. Yuzan says Haru will be there soon. Turns out that Yuzan had sent a text message to Haru saying he was going to have tea with Shizu, since it was a nice day out. Yuzan disappears to get something to eat, because apparently everything he said about sweets, cause him to want to eat some.
While Yuzan is away, Shizu wonders what he could possibly be thinking. He comes back with a box of donuts, telling her they don’t have them where he lives. So she tries to talk to him about Haru. Shizu tells Yuzan that when Haru falls in love with her, she’ll confess her feelings for him once more. Yuzan claims that it’s because she’s important to Haru and he doesn’t want to lose her.
Yuzan begins telling Shizu about their family history, especially Haru’s. But Yuzan wants Haru to quit school and come back home, or it appears that way in the beginning. Haru had been kicked out of the house because he was so bad and moved in with Micchan. Now Haru’s father wants to have him come back. Yuzan assumes the only reason Haru has gone back to school was because of Shizu.
Once Haru finds them, he pulls Shizu towards him, knocking Yuzan back. He tells Yuzan he is not going back to their house, and that he doesn’t know what his father and Yuzan are planning. The hatred he has towards his family is really intense at this point…and well noticed.
Haru grabs Shizu to leave and Shizu stops, telling him Yuzan doesn’t want to take him back, but to listen to what Yuzan has to say. Shizu doesn’t want him to quit school. Haru however can’t trust a word Yuzan says. And looking at his behavior, there’s no reason to doubt Haru. There is this weird vibe about Yuzan that you question what his intentions are.
So Yuzan tells him that their dad didn’t believe that Haru was going to school, but now that he is, they want to transfer Haru to a different school.Yuzan also states that since he is more social, then there is no need for him to return home. And Yuzan will convince his
dad that he doesn’t need to come back home.
Haru doesn’t want her to speak to Yuzan again, and she gets into a slight argument with Haru. Haru then mentions he thought she said she liked him. While walking with Shizu, Haru finally opens up about his past… but just a little at a time.
Shizu asks Haru if he wants to go home and he says no. Suddenly she blushes and mentions when anyone feels anxious sometimes they want human contact. She asks Haru if she can touch him. Haru thought dirty thoughts when she says that, and when
she touches the side of his face, he said “oh that’s what you meant.” Shizu admits to him that if he disappeared, she would probably be sad. Haru tells Shizu he wants to be with her.
The class representative finally gets to thank Haru for protecting her during the school tournament. The episode ends with Shizu walking by student representative who is getting doe-eyed at Haru. With Haru finally getting close to Shizu as well, and this girl approaches him, it’s normal for Shizu to feel jealous, or possibly threatened.
