I love this anime, I really do. I haven’t really stumbled across any that I haven’t really liked. The one I may find a bit boring is Black Clover and that’s because the beginning episodes don’t really go anywhere…or they feel drawn out. I decided to watch episode three and let the review begin!

It’s really nice to see the relationship between Haru and Shizu develop so nicely. Shizu IMG-2676struggles throughout the episode with her feelings for Haru. After she admits it, Haru seems happy and asks her out. She panics  and tells him that what she said was a lie. Haru says it’s good, but believes it was a brutal lie. Shizu notices afterward that he seems bothered by something,

Sasahara, who tells Haru just to call him Sasayan, tells Shizu, who had asked him previously to take Nagoya home, brings the chicken back and says he can’t keep him because of their cat. So they get permission to make a coop for the chicken at the school.  Meanwhile, IMG-2680Haru’s brother, Yuzan, had come to visit Micchan before the others meet up at the arcade. Micchan tells him not to come there anymore, and had given him money.

Sasayan, Haru, Shizu and Natsume had gone to the home improvement store to get things that they would need to make the chicken coop.  So Shizu looks around by herself, and suddenly she looks over and sees Kenji, Mabo, Tomio and Joji standing next to her for IMG-2683some strange reason. Shizu gets nervous as these are the guys she had given a lecture to at Harus’ place. Sasayan kind of saves the day by walking past and asks if he was interrupting. One of Kenji’s friends call him shorty, and he loses his temper, throwing a basket full of stuff, hitting Mabo in the face.

They chase after Sasayan and Shizu, causing Sasayan to call out to Haru that Shizu was in trouble. It’s obvious by now that Haru won’t let any harm come to Shizu, as he always seems to be protective of her.  We saw this when Shizu was trying to study in the upper

classmen’s classroom. And we see it now when it comes to Kenji and his friends. Haru won’t stand for it and naturally beats them up by picking up Mabo, and flings him towards the others. Because of this, Sasayan, Haru and Shizu take off, leaving the store.

The group start on the coop back at Haru and Micchan’s place, and it ends up being a total failure. They complain that a handsaw is a pain in the ass, and this whole time, Micchan was watching them struggle with the chicken coop. Micchan finally tells them IMG-2699he had an electrical saw, and Haru gets all huffy asking why didn’t he say so in the first place.

Kenji and the others stop by and Shizu jumps back in surprise. Kenji had been wanting to talk to Shizu for a while. He and his friends had wanted to apologize to Haru but basically were afraid to, because of…well, Haru’s tendency to hit people.

IMG-2704Kenji asks Shizu if she can mediate between them and she finally does before Haru gets a hold of them. Kenji realizes that Shizu likes Haru and that revelation startles everyone around her. Shizu tells Haru that they had offered to help build the chicken coop, which then causes them to freak out.

The building of the chicken coop was a success and after Haru and Shizu part ways with Sasayan and Natsume, they walk together in the evening. Shizu then gives up on hiding her feelings and tells Haru flat out that she liked him; that she had fallen in love with IMG-2715him. The whole time before, Shizu had had problems looking at Haru. So she finally gives in to what she had originally told him. Haru tells her that he likes her too, but in a different way, as he had dirty thoughts about her.

During this time, before they part to go home, Micchan sends a warning text to Haru, telling him that his brother was at their place. So Haru grabs Shizu by the hand and says they should spend the night together. Shizu panics but actually handles it pretty well, all things considered.

While Shizu cooks food for Haru, and eventually they go to bed, Yuzan is sitting around talking to Micchan, who still insists that he doesn’t come back, and tells him Haru isn’t coming back that night.  Yuzan says he brought Haru sweets, and then pretty much demands tea from Micchan. While waiting for the drink, Yuzan thinks to himself how much of a coward Haru is. Before going to bed, Shizu had checked up on Haru, and she seems to realize that something is bothering Haru. Stay tuned for episode five review, in which all of these will be explained in further detail!
