This is another anime that is quite enjoyable from the very first episode. It reminds me of ReLife in the sense that everyone goes through an incredible amount of change in a certain amount of time. Especially Shizu…as of now, she goes through an incredible amount of change and she realizes this.

Episode one left us off with Shizu and Haru heading out to get monja, and he suddenly kissed her. While episode two, begins at the monja restaurant, and this is the first time IMG-2592Shizu has experienced eating it. Monja is a dish most people may not have heard of…I certainly hadn’t. Apparently it’s like a combination of ingredients made with high quality flour. It’s very unusual and the appearance is….not so impressive. Regardless of that, it’s supposed to be very tasty. Shizu keeps eating monja after monja and this is most likely because she keeps thinking about Haru kissing her. Meanwhile, Haru can’t believe how much she is eating. Shizu then tells herself that she can’t concentrate on anything now.

Haru and Shizu are at school the next day, and midterm makeups are announced by the counselor. Neither Shizu or Haru need to retake it. It’s this moment, that Shizu looks over and sees that if Haru actually put his name on the exam…he would have had a higher

score than Shizu. She mentions how Haru is still behaving strangely. One instance, is when his shirt keeps puffing out, as though he is hiding something under it. In which, he definitely is. He catches everyone’s attention at this point, as it’s not avoidable.

Suddenly a big rooster pops out from under Haru’s shirt, and Haru explains he found him walking around in the rain. After class Haru and Shizu are walking through town and Natsume, a girl in their class, approaches Shizu. Natsume asks her to help her with IMG-2603the midterm makeup by tutoring her. Shizu declines when they are eating at a restaurant. Natsume begins to tell them about herself, and how she has no friends. She’s very pretty and gets all the attention from guys, so this makes the other girls jealous. Natsume talks about an online group where she can talk to other people.

Haru decides to help tutor her, as long as Natsume takes him to the offline group meetup, where he can try and make some friends. Meanwhile, Shizu seems pretty quiet with all this happening. You don’t know if she’s being neutral and trying not to care, or if she is IMG-2615even a little bit jealous. It’s kind of hard to figure out as the whole episode her mind is going all over the place with how she feels about Haru. Shizu tells herself that basically there is something wrong with her.

Shizu studies at the library where it’s nice and quiet. This actually shows just how much Shizu is a bookworm because the midterms are over and yet she continues to study extremely hard. That’s when a classmate of hers, Sasashara finds her asleep in the library and speaks to her from an opened window. He’s surprised that she doesn’t even know his name, despite the fact they are in the same class.

Sasashara explains he’s curious to know what kind of person she is because he sees her IMG-2619hanging around Haru all the time and she was able to get him back to school. He mentions that Haru had a habit of doing the same thing in middle school.

It’s after this that Natsume declares that Haru had ruined the group meetup, saying she couldn’t talk to anyone and then Haru started a fight with people. Apparently Haru likes to cause trouble with other people. He gets along with Natsume and Shizu, and just very few others, and others he gets angry with very quickly and just punches them.

Natsume and Shizu are on the roof of the school, and Natsume says she’ll get food and drink for her and Shizu. When she comes back, Shizu is fast asleep. Haru arrives and Natsume leaves with a nod, and Haru sits down, and places Shizu’s head on his lap. Shizu looks up and thinks how it’s the first time she’s ever skipped class, and asks Haru why he didn’t wake her up. Haru tells her that she was fast asleep and she looked cute. Shizu looks up at the sky and thinks how nice the weather is. She reflects on how her old self wouldn’t have noticed how the blue sky is in the afternoon. Shizu sits up and glances over at Haru, telling him she likes him, and she’s glad she has met him. Thinking to herself, she realizes Haru is changing her world.
