After the past two episodes that focused mainly on Hishiro and Kariu, episode six starts to focus more on Arata, Oga and An. Which is a nice change, just because these three seem to get along very well. We only see Hishiro in the very beginning looking up love on her laptop. For some reason, she can’t get the vision of seeing Arata and Kariu close together on the bottom of the stairs out of her head.

After the brief scene, it turns to Arata, who is still sleeping. He wakes up to a phone call, which happens to be Oga. Arata had forgotten that he was to study with An and Oga that IMG-1478day. When Oga announces he and An are right outside his door, Arata panics and tells them  to hold on. He does a quick trash pick up, sprays freshener in the room, hides his cigarettes and finally lets them in.

Of course when Oga and An come in, they begin to look around, and Oga finds a mini-disc, in which he said most kids now never heard of them. Arata offers them a drink, stating all he has is tea, and when he opens his refrigerator, it’s completely full of beer.

Oga begins the group study, and after studying hard, he looks over An and Arata’s answers. He wonders how Arata managed to get into the prep school and calls him dumbIMG-1486 pretty much. Regarding An, Oga notices how much time An spends on her phone. Arata asks if it’s a boyfriend and An replies with “sexual harassment”.  Of course Arata panics at that reply until An tells him she was kidding.

Before Oga gets a phone call from his work, he informs An and Arata that midterms are coming up, and they really need to pass these makeups. And if they don’t pass midterms, there will be more makeups. There is a calendar that Arata has that has job interviews written in and An discovers it. Arata takes it and throws it across the room and states there was a “bug” on the wall. While this is all happening, Yaoke had connected to the surveillance section of ReLife, and is pretty much studying what is going on in Arata’s home over his phone.

When An asks about the calendar, not only does Arata panic, but so does Yaoke. This IMG-1490causes Yaoke to leave his place to run over to Arata’s. When An studies the calendar, she asks about the jobs listed on it. She asks Arata if he ever worked at a convenient store, he does say yes, and she tells him she had met him there.

As Yoake runs over to Arata’s house, his five minute surveillance ends and he requests for more time. An begins to heavily flirt with Arata, and Arata panics because he is “supposedly” ten years older than An. Yaoke finally reaches Arata’s, and we discover that Yaoke had a spare key to the place. As viewers we get to know more about the ReLife program and then we find out An is part of the ReLife program, and actually is close to Arata’s actual age.

An begins to open up, and tells Arata more about ReLife, and how she was the one that picked him out for Yaoke. Yaoke gives her a look that really screams “Shut up!” and An IMG-1494doesn’t pay much attention as she keeps on going. We learn that An was originally going to be Arata’s support, but due to not finishing training, Yaoke became Arata’s support. Arata has no idea on what to think when he learns all about this. He isn’t mad, but more like confused. The episode ends with Yaoke and An apologizing deeply to Arata for not telling him the complete truth.

As said before, this was a nice change of pace to what had happened prior to this episode. Not only that, but we get to find out there are more people from ReLife involved instead of just Arata and Yaoke. It’s also nice to know that the episodes keep that “this is such a good anime series” feeling. I haven’t found it remotely boring as of yet, and keep looking forward to more. Stay tuned for episode seven review!
